Colleges and universities’ social media worlds were rocked by LinkedIn’s announcement of University Pages.
When the team here at StudentAdvisor saw the new school pages, we were delighted as LinkedIn is becoming an increasingly valuable way to link education, school and career goals. This is the latest evolution of colleges’ and universities’ social media opportunities. LinkedIn described the launch of these pages as, “One cornerstone of our strategy to help students at every critical milestone, from campus to fulfilling, successful careers.”
Our mission is always “students first,” and this new LinkedIn platform could help students make better, smarter, and more informed decisions. Time.com reporter Victor Luckerson just wrote a story about LinkedIn’s new feature and decision to open its doors to teenagers.
