Scholarship Saturday: The Beautiful Minds Challenge

What is beautiful? If you can answer that question, Marlboro College wants to reward you! The challenge is open to all teens ages 14-19. The 2012 prompt is, "Make something Beautiful. Say why it is." The challenge asks you to submit an example of beauty, created by you/your team and documented in a digital format and a cover letter that explains why your submission is beautiful.


Who's Eligible?
All teens between the ages of 14 and 19.


Submissions
Submissions will be judged by a panel of faculty and staff members, students, and experts from a variety of fields. Only digital submissions are accepted. Winning entries will have the following characteristics:

  • High quality product (the “something beautiful”) and presentation/documentation
  • Expression of original, critical and creative thinking
  • Demonstration of research and preparation .
Scholarship split among teams
  • 1st – $1,000
  • 2nd – $750
  • 3rd – $500
