1. Brower Youth Awards for Environmental Leadership: $3,000, Deadline: May 12
This scholarship will recognize the outstanding leadership efforts of young people who are working for the protection of our shared planet. Six students will each receive a $3,000 cash prize, a professionally produced short film about their work, and flight and lodging accommodations for a week long trip to the San Francisco Bay Area.
2. Anne Maureen Whitney Barrow Memorial Scholarship: $7000, Deadline: May 15
This scholarship from the Society of Women Engineers will be awarded to a female engineering student in a SWE approved college or university program.
3. Dorothy M. and Earl S. Hoffman Scholarship: $3000, Deadline: May 15
A number of these scholarships are available to female freshman students in approved SWE colleges and university engineering programs, with preference given to students at Bucknell University and Rensselaer Polytechnic University.
4. Dinah Shore Scholarship: $5000, Deadline: May 15
This scholarship from the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) in honor of the late Dinah Shore is awarded to a female high school senior who is pursuing a college education, but who will not be playing golf on a competitive collegiate golf team.
5. Kaplan University Thanks USA Scholarship Program: Full Tuition, Deadline: May 15
Through this program, Kaplan University will award a full undergraduate scholarship to an eligible military spouse.
6. Physicians of Tomorrow Awards: $10,000, Deadline: May 30
These awards were created to help students face spiraling medical school debt. These scholarships reward current third-year medical students who are approaching their final year of medical school.
7. MillerCoors National Scholarship: $3000, Deadline: May 30
This scholarship is awarded to Hispanic students who are studying business or business-related industries.
8. NASCAR/Wendell Scott Sr. Award: $2,200, Deadline: May 30
These scholarships are awarded to full-time undergraduate or graduate students with majors in engineering, business, public relations, mass media, sports marketing, marketing, management, or technology who attend member universities of the HACU (Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities).
9. Korean-American Scholarship: $2000, Deadline: May 30th
These scholarships from the Korean-American foundation are awarded to students with Korean heritage studying in the United States regardless of citizenship status (including Korean Nationals). If extra funds are available, other students (non-Korean) may qualify for some scholarships.
10. Muggets Scholarship: $1,000, Deadline: May 30
The Horticultural Research Institute sponsors this scholarship to help aspiring students from across the country obtain horticultural degrees.
